RD Refrigerant dryers
RD refrigerated dryers produce quality, clean and dry air, which is indispensable for preserving equipment and ensuring the quality of the finished product, as well as excellent performance in unfavourable environmental conditions, even with high inlet air temperatures.
The highly efficient and ultra compact modular aluminium heat exchanger operates effectively in ambient temperatures up to 45 °C, ensuring a reduced compressed air pressure drop.
Correct operation is monitored by the electronic controller, which shows the Dew point temperature and total hours of dryer operation on the digital display, controls the condensate drain solenoid valve with a cyclic timer, detects the condensation temperature or pressure, and activates the condenser cooling fan with a probe.
The aluminium drying module directs the flow of moist air along a vertical downward path, facilitating condensate drainage.
The circulation of the refrigerant in the system is carried out by high-efficiency piston or rotary refrigeration compressors, which allow a large reduction in consumption and offer high reliability.
All materials are in compliance with our environmental policy: only environmentally friendly refrigerants are used.
Components conform with 2002/95/EC “RoHS” (restriction of hazardous substances) and 2002/96/EC ”WEEE” (waste electrical and electronic equipment) European Directives. Models from RD.C 4 to RD 32 are equipped with ecologic refrigerating fluid R134a, all others use R407C.
RD dryers are sized to match standard compressor outputs. E.g. a 15 kW (20 HP) air compressor with theoretical output of 2400 l/min at 7 bar matches the RD 25 dryer rated at 2500 l/min.
Larger sizes are not necessary: the dryer-compressor combination is tested and guaranteed, within the operating limits indicated in the technical specifications.
Compact dimensions, optimised layout and innovative solutions characterise the RD.C 4-30 models, which use a highly energy-efficient heat exchanger evolution with a horizontal air connection arrangement that simplifies connection and optimises internal flows.
The unique design of these dryers, with their easy-to-remove hoods, is designed for easy inspection and maintenance.
The new high-performance heat exchanger ensures minimal pressure drops.
No tools are required to clean the condensate drain, thanks to the quick bayonet coupling.

The RD HT dryer series is specifically designed for the effective treatment of compressed air when there are high intake temperatures. Withstanding temperatures up to 90 °C, they are ideal for use in tropical areas and for piston compressors.
This range, the only one of its kind on the market, has an integrated high-efficiency pre-cooler, which guarantees a reduction in inlet temperature.
The excellent performance and compact size of the machine keeps head loss down and offers easy, quick installation.
